Photo a Day 8/31

Mason my son was born today. He got a lot of Nerf guns. His most prized gun is the double shot shot gun. Is that how you say it? Anyway, I wanted him to look angry and this is the best he could do. I love him but he's not an actor.
And so concludes my month of photos a day for August.

Photo a Day 8/30

As you may or may not know, I have a website (The Digital Ink Spot) dedicated to author promotions. When author's have a free book on Amazon or Smashwords or where ever, I like to make a post about it and get people to download it. Hopefully they like the book and follow the author and leave a review and that author has a life long customer. I have a Facebook page for it too but I never gave it a banner. I finally fixed that.

Photo a Day 8/29

Another picture of a craft my wife made. I showed her the photo and she said, "I didn't do the bricks." I told her I added them. She thought she was going crazy.
I added a lot to this actually. I like building layers. I'll learn to get better I guess. Some of my favorite crafts and art has layers.

Photo a Day 8/28

Pig and Tardis. They were very willing to pose for me and I appreciate it.
I am very happy to use my DIY light studio. There are kinks to work out such as stands for the lights. I now use the dining chairs. I have one old stand from a fan I need to add to but I think it will work.
I keep the pig in my car. He holds my change.

Photo a Day 8/26

One of the many things I have focused on since time began

Photo a Day 8/25

A self-portrait. When I'm dead and gone. I want school children to read about me and wonder what kind of man was I.

Photo a Day 8/24

Some kind of sickness in me grows. I love the Doctor Who universe. I saw this carafe at a thrift store and I instantly thought Dalek. The reflection of lights help too.

Photo a Day 8/23

I saw a photo realistic drawing by Samuel Silva called Ginger.  This is my interpretation of that drawing of that photo.

Photo a Day 8/22

My wife goes through headphones like water for chocolate. That probably makes little to no sense but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Photo a Day 8/21

Some people may have a photo app on their phone with filters they may never find use for. I not one of those people. This is a photo of my stove top.

Photo a Day 8/20

I look at this iron work every day and every day I see an alien looking back at me.

Photo a Day 8/19

My friend Marcos is a musician. Not the kind that hopes to make it big and can't hold a job. No, Marcos has his shit together and loves music.

Photo a Day 8/18

I originally called this The Three Moons of Uranus. I changed it to Jupiter because Uranus is too popular. Oooooh, Snap!

Photo a Day 8/17

Did you know that if you buy just a regular coffee, the refills are 50 cents at Starbucks?

Photo a Day 8/16

At my sister-in-law's dining table you can see circles and if you squint and have a drink from her bar, you will see a moon appear.

Photo a Day 8/15

Hood and fender to my 1999 Volkswagen new beetle

Photo a Day 8/14

I loved Speed Racer when I was a lad. Number 5 was the number on his car. Later in life, I learned that 5 is Japan's lucky number. I love 5.

Photo a Day 8/13

My Mother-in-law went to New York City. She brought this back to me and a shirt that said: I <3 NYC.

Photo a Day 8/12

On the inside of my wife's Santa Fe is the vent to the door for her AC/Heating. I looked at it and thought of Star Wars.

Photo a Day 8/11

I saw a stuffed turkey and I shot it again. Sorry, turkey.

Photo a Day 8/10

Found these tasty morsels at a potluck. I had more than my share. I would have felt remorse had bacon not been involved.

Photo a Day 8/9

Pushing a cart at the local Costco I saw a pattern, I saw colors.

Photo a Day 8/8

This screams to be seen in Black and White.

Photo a Day 8/7

Where we keep our napkins.

Photo a Day 8/6

A close up of a craft done by my wife.

Photo a Day 8/4

Len's flare was an unlisted actor in Star Trek.

Photo a Day 8/3

Grating on a table.

In the beginning

I love photography. I started as a photojournalist in HS and junior college. I could do the job but my artistic side was not nourished by journalism. The medium I saw my art in was not invented yet. Now with digital photography and the multiple ways to manipulate photos, I can release my inner Kraken.
