Kissing Movember Goodbye

There was once upon a time when I believed I looked good with facial hair. That's a lie. I always thought my sweet sweet hunkiness was best realized cleaned shaven.
It was all for a good cause. In the end, I raised $26 for awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives. That's a good thing. I think even Martha Stewart would agree.
So what did I learn from all this? People notice a change in my appearance easily. I got a lot of, "Hey, you growing a mustache," and "Is that mustache you're growing there?" Yes, very obvious question but they didn't withhold their questioning. They let it out into the wild for everyone to hear. And that is great. It gave me an opportunity to tell folks why the mustache. Everyone agreed it was cool and cool to do.
I think next year I will print out the little business cards from the website and try harder to turn those questions into donations. Maybe double my total.
The best part of this is the insane amount of kisses from my wife, December 1st. She wasn't hip to the mustache but appreciated the reason I was growing it and was very supportive but very happy to have my old shaved self again.
Kissing is awesome.
